It’s a deeply compelling love affair which takes the readers back to their childhood memories and brings back to them the essence of true love.
The changing relations of a man’s life add force to the much ordinary teenage passion. The book is not just about love. It’s about a journey called life which either ends in melancholy or in delight
The Book Review
-Plot
Melancholic Delight is a story of a girl Sri and her first love interest Jishu, with the relation she have with her mom. This story was ok, I like the title, "Melancholic Delight" which pretty catchy and I like the book cover. I also like the way the author describe the feelings of Sri and how she used poesy sometimes to describe the relationship between Jishy and her. If you like romance and first love stories, then this story is one of those stories that you definitely want to check out.
But despite the fact that I like love stories, this love story wasn't my cup of tea because this story is just centered about the feelings of Sri for Jishu. I like romance stories that have a deeper story behind, I guest this story was suppose to focus about first love, that is why is not my cup of tea but I love the way the author described the feelings.
-Characters
Also the author doesn't focus to much on other characters beside Jishu, Soumo her mom and trisha, her best friend so you can't hold to anyone of those characters.
Conclusion
I gave this story two stars, because I'm more teen young adult fantasy fiction romance stories and I didn’t like the fact that this story was all about her feelings for a guy that you don’t understand or that the reader can’t love or hold on too, and the characters were not interesting at all, but if you love stories that are just focused on romance stories and first love again, check this story out.
