Plot
Walking in the Shadows tell the story of Vera/Abigail Martin who fall in love with Tad Knightley, a man that she later discover is her new british litterature teacher, now their love is forbidden, at least for this year because after that Vera will turn eighteen and could do whatever she wants and they might be together. At first Tad is mad but later understand that is both of their fault. Now they have to try to keep a teacher-student relation even if it's hard for both of them after what they lived together. At the same time Vera is trying to run away from the murderer of her parents, the vampires. I love suspense stories so the vampires is an intrigue and when Vera start talking about Vampire you wonder if they are the kind of vampires we are used to or is some crazy people acting like vampires and killing people ? Read to find out.
-Characters
The main characteres, Vera and Tad are very attaching, you directly get Very attached to both of them and share the pain of their forbidden love with them. Also there is Jaz a new friend Vera meet at the beginning of her senor year and Kristen who take Vera like her daughter and Vera work at her Store. Vera is close to herself and she doesn't have and is a girl who suffer a lot the absence of her parents. Luckily she has Tad but regret the fact that they can't be together anymore, a forbidden love that is killing them softly.
-Conclusion
I gave this story a four star because I loved the forbidden love between Tad and Vera and there is something deeper behind, the murder of her parents. I love this story because is not a cliche love story between teenager or something like that. So is definetely a story to buy if you love forbidden love stories, the question to ask yourself on this book is how it's going to end ? Do Vera and Tad will be together ? Who are the vampires that is chasing her ?
